Introducing Gotham Squares

The shape of our new family of downlights will land you squarely in the driver’s seat on your next project specification.

Architects and designers are looking increasingly to use square-aperture downlights to better integrate with other rectilinear elements within an interior space. While this design approach makes perfect sense, the final decision to install square downlights often is influenced by practical concerns about optical performance and installed appearance. Gotham has addressed these concerns with the first high-performance, square-aperture downlight that is completely adjustable to ensure consistent trim-to-trim appearance and alignment.

Product Features

-          Installation Guides – We’ve engineered the housings of Gotham Squares to facilitate precise placement and linear alignment. Post-install adjustability ensures consistent installation and appearance of trims.  Trims are keyed to the mounting structure so initial alignment is maintained, even after re-lamping.

-          One-piece Trim – One-piece molded trims eliminate mitered flange joints and inside corner gaps for an ultra-clean aperture with no light leaks. Four- and six-inch aperture trims are available in downlight and wallwash configurations with both smooth and “stepped” surface treatments.

-          Bounding Ray Performance – Like all Gotham products, this downlight is a high-performance lighting tool! Optics are engineered to control source brightness precisely from all viewing angles, while delivering the highest efficiencies of any square downlight available.

-          Sources and Lumen Package – All apertures are available in compact fluorescent, metal halide and incandescent lamp sources addressing a multitude of design options.
